Forgotten No More

The Forgotten Man & Woman No More.

Friends,

What built America was hard work, determination, independence, family and friends, and a trust in God.  And a spirit of never giving up.

I am the son of a pastor and eldest of 10 siblings, growing up on a farm in Western Maryland and working at times $3.00/hour to fill hay barns for area farmers, or rise at 4:30am in the summer to milk dairy cows and feed horses, sheep and beef.

My dad’s father from Wichita was the first in his family to graduate from college, which he did on the GI Bill, after flying fighter planes at the end of WWII.  He kindly hand-signed this photograph for me just two months before he died.  In his career, he had worked up the ladder and “pulled himself up by his own bootstraps” to be a CFO accountant for various major companies including what was Peat Marwick Int’l here in Maryland (now KPMG).

Growing up in rural Maryland, we were rich in eternal things that last. My parents always made life so exciting and Christmas was always a joyful time where we all were thankful for the gifts and necessities we received.

Our family recently watched the opening 1.5 hours of the American Classic, Little House on the Prairie, and I was once again struck by one scene. After over a year of hard labor building an entire farm with their own hands from right off the Kansas land which the U.S. government had promised to them as part of its settlement of the West, the United States government federal officers then rode up and issued orders for them to leave and relocate – they were confiscating their land and buildings as part of a changed boundary line deal back in Washington.

Poignantly just then, Charles “Pa” Ingalls (Michael Landon) says to his wife Caroline (Karen Grassle), “those blasted politicians back in Washington…”

The “blasted politicians” in DC today are no different – in fact they’re worse.

Like President Trump, as your Member of Congress I will bring to the DC table the voice of the Forgotten Man & Woman.  No more will we be forgotten – but our voices will be heard and action taken to do what we as elected leaders are required to do to help those we represent.

That means at a minimum:

  • DEMANDING reduction of taxes and regulations on Maryland employees and businesses so we can stay, live and retire in our beautiful state.  I am the only candidate who has pledged to not vote for continuing resolutions and out of control budgets and I will vote to stop giving our taxpayer money to Ukraine and foreign wars.
  • SEAL THE BORDER NOW, reinstate Title 42 & 8 deportations, remain in Mexico policy, ending catch & release, ending asylum fraud and restarting speedy deportations by ICE.
  • ENDING CORRUPTION, securing our elections and rooting out corrupt officials.

Western Maryland needs a strong, unbending and sure elected Member of Congress, or we will continue to be forgotten.

I will stand for you.  I understand what it’s like to struggle to make ends meet, and to triumph through hard and determined work. I worked three jobs to put myself through college at Mt. St. Mary’s and the University of Maryland, and then law school – married with four children.  We did it to stand up for the forgotten man and woman – to stand up for our great nation and our beautiful Flag and most importantly, our Constitution.

We must never give up.  This is our land.  This is our country.  Thank you for helping me win for all of us.

Voting begins by mail on April 1st – in just 28 days – for the primary which is scheduled for in-person on May 14.  Can you believe that?  44 days of voting – instead of the one day our Constitution mandates.

Help me reach the voters today so that none of us are forgotten.  Just $100 reaches about 367 voters, but any amount will help.

Thanks and God bless the working man and woman and all our fellow Americans.

Freedom and Victory,

Dan Cox, Candidate for Congress (R-MD6)

P.S. In the next 28 days I need to reach 100,000 voters.  If you can also help me with a sign location or a house meet and greet with a minimum of 20 guests, please go on my website and fill out the form and someone from the campaign will be in touch.
